It was a little like flying, really. A little like magic, too. Getting off the ground's scary as hell, but now that he's leveled off, he doesn't know what he's been frightened of.

He doesn't know when he's coming back down, or how smoothly, but that's a risk inherent in anything. There is magic in the mundane, too.

He tucks his hands under his head and listens, to the rain on the roof, the distant roll of thunder, the footsteps coming down the hall. Of all the things he thought he'd find in London, love hadn't been one of them.

Oh that's just a lovely piece of prose. I do like 'there is Magic in the mundane'.

(psst. there's a t missing from thought)

Thanks. I appreciate the kind words. And the correction. LOL.

So, just out of curiosity, what's your stance on crossover for this community? LondonVerse is something that I have plans for, and very much wants to be a test-run for the X-Men cross that I'm playing with.

Sure, crossovers are fine. I think about the only rule of the place is 'MUST HAVE GILES'. After that, I'm terribly lax. Happy to see him anywhere. Shout if you need tags adding.

Awww, very sweet! Love the plane analogy. Very nice, and very Giles.

Of all the things he thought he'd find in London, love hadn't been one of them. Oh, that's so sweet. I mean, yeah Ethan becomes bad guy and all, but that last line was so unexpected! I love it.

I like how you've painted the scene. At first it seems like Giles is taking his first instructional pilot's flight. Loved it.
